The Villa Group Taps New General Manager For Villa Del Palmar Puerto Vallarta

Roland Bernard To Oversee Resort Operations

San Diego, CA (January 3, 2007) - The Villa Group has announced the appointment of Roland Bernard to the position of General Manager for its 560-room Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta. Bernard will be responsible for daily operations of the beachfront resort overlooking Banderas Bay.

Bernard joins the property following responsibilities as General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Nuevo Laredo for InterContinental Hotels Group. He previously served as General Manager at the Mayan Sea Garden Mazatlan, and as Managing Director of the all-inclusive Blue Bay Resorts on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts of Mexico and Costa Rico.

Originally from France and Mexican by nationality, Bernard has 28 years of tourism industry experience. He is a graduate of the Hotel School in Dijon, France, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration from CNTE of Vanves, France. Bernard serves as treasurer of the Puerto Vallarta Hotel & Motel Association, and is a member of Skal International.
